Schist cladding – Church Road, Whangarei
This was a bold and beautiful undertaking: two large gable ends wrapped in Schist, plus a pair of fireplaces — one indoors, one out — each crafted in the same timeless stone. Altogether, the project featured around 100 square meters of hand-laid Schist.
Schist brings a quiet luxury to architectural design. Its texture and tone create warmth and sophistication, making it a favorite among designers seeking to set their work apart. In this build, it became the signature element — grounding the home in natural beauty and lasting impact.
